After a few more sea days, we arrived in Namibia.

I really didnt know what to expect here, and had a tour booked to a dutch town.

We drove past nice suburbs and past some shanty towns

The town was really ice. Dutch settlers had obviously influend=ced the architecture, but it was safe and pleasant to walk around.

My journal tells a different tale.

It was one of a few hard days.

I saw a golden labrador outside one of the houses in a lovely suburb, and started to miss home, especially the labby door that we had to put down just after himself dropped dead on the floor.

I miss them all.

I was also beginning to envisage a life alone, but with no idea what that looked like. And I aso noted that I didnt have the energy or bandwidth to start this blog or to write anything of any meaning. So I was just trying to be good to myself. Take each day as it came and just keep swimming.

I also, for the first time, realised that alone and lonely are 2 different things. I had lunch - alone but not lonely. As always, local seafood, and a local beer.

There were loads of things to buy on the streets. I do love the challenge of a street vendor, although will always pay a decent price. The bartering is just a bit of craic!!!

Crystals were my favourite here. We visited a brilliant crystal museum place.

Adn the huge sand dunes were amazing. Some of the girls went 4 wheel driving on them, but I wasn't so brave!!

Yet another african sunset ended the day

Namibia - 10/10 - another surprise package and would highly recommend.
