Its been a long time since I had been in London, and this also marked the first part of my solo journey ashore.

Must admit it was a bit daunting, but I managed to navigate to the hotel, right beside Paddington Station, and hopped on the hop on hop off bus the next morning to have a look around.

London didn't disappoint. Except for the weather, which was chilly and a bit wet!!

Much cleaner than I remember, and all the buildings look as spectacular as I remember.

What isn't captured in the photos is the really weird sense of unease in the city.

Maybe its just me, but every so often, like every couple of hours, there were random sirens eminating from unmarked cars with sometimes uniformed, sometimes not and sometimes blacked out windows. Could be a city that just reacts to things in a different way, but rather unnerving for a solo traveller.

Still, it was a lovely day.

I was a bit worried about losing my friends and having to eat alone etc, however I discovered a MArks and Sopencer in the station so indulged my 25 year cravings for a prawn sandwich and a pork pie!!! And some chocolate and Percy Pigs!!!

London - 11/10 so far. Percy Pigs - 15/10......AMAZING!!!!
