And so the adventure continued.
The weather got warmer, but the wind kept blowing.

My journal again show me trying to convince myself to get out more and meet more people. Along with the confession that I couldnt go to the dining room by myself.
Just show me how far I've come because I now really enjoy eating alone.
I also noted that I actually enjoyed my own company for the first time, which is huge.
Solo travel can bring out the best or the worst in anyone, so it really helps to actually enjoy your own company!!!
The first foreign stop was Mauritius.
I rated it 7/10 - would not return.
There are many reasons for my weird port ratings - this one was probably more based on expectations.
Growing up, Mauritius was probably the most exotic place I had ever heard of and was where all the rich and famous would go for their holidays.
It was a bit of a disappointment. Maybe because I live in the tropics, it seemed all very familiar countyside and plant life, so apart fro the extict dod, it was a bit blah.

I took a princess tour, which as all ships tours, was hellish expensive, but when travelling alone it made sense to me to have the security of the ship organising everything and being amongst other people rather than doing it alone.
The tour drove around part of the island, to a colonial house which was lovely.

The tour then took us to a market which was a bit scary. The tour guide was obviously on commission from some of the stall holders which was a shame, but anyway, survived it!!

Then we went to the new part of town which was also rather underwhelming.

When we were walking to the new town, I was chatting to a couple who asked if I was travelling alone.
They said a relative of theirs, who was widowed, went on a cruise and never left her cabin. I think I'm bad (socially) but that is ridiculous!!!
I also imparted my wisdom of enjoying life, particularly while they are able to enjoy it together. They were really happy at the justification for spending their lids inheritance!!!
Lesson to all - do it. Just fucking do it.
Shit is not easy. Life is not easy, but to leave it until its too late is unthinkable.
Have the adventures, together if you can, and alone if that's what the universe has thrown your way. It is so worth it to experience different places, things, food, people and to experience yourself!!!

And off we went again....more adventures ahead.
