So after the bobbing around we made an impromptu stop in Durban, South Africa.

Unfortunately all the information provided by the ship was rather negative in terms of personal security, so as a group we decided to book a tour which we thought was taking us to local market type shops.

Turned out it took us to a huge shopping mall which was like every other shopping mll across the world. However these legends made it really special. Particularly getting money out of an ATM, when we surrounded eachother like some criminal a=caretl, to repel borders!!!

Sadly we didnt get to see a lot of Durban other than the mall, but what we saw from the bus was hugely contrasting suburbs, vast wealth and fancy car showrooms and people obviously living on the streets.

After we got back on the ship, others told us that there was plenty of security around the beach area, so it would have been safe to have a walk.

Anyway, it was a good day with new friends.

Ships life is providing a settled routine of bridge classes, trivia and other things to do.

Also time with new friends in the evenings.

Durban did provide a beautiful sunset.....
